As this will be your child's first time playing Auskick our focus is to ensure that you children have a fun and enjoyable time playing Auskick. It is not about winning or kicking the most goals but about ensuring the children have fun so that they fall in love with this great and unique Australian game.
We are a community club that thrives on volunteers and all positions within Auskick (Coaches, Team Managers and the Auskick Coordinator) are all volunteer roles filled by parents of players.
Coach - This is a truly rewarding experience and it certainly helped my son to be more engaged because his dad was coach. The time commitment is basically half and hour to and hour preparation and then the hour of Sunday games.
Team Manager - The Team Manager's role is to send out communications to the team and maintain the roster of parent helpers. If you're not overly keen on coaching or assisting the coach with activities this is a great way to be involved with your child's team and get to know the other parents.
Parent Volunteers Game Day - each Sunday the team will undertake four Auskick activities followed by a game simulation. Parents are required each week to assist the coach to run these activities, the team manager will be given a spreadsheet to record each of the parent volunteers each week.
