A Move to Bruce Lee Oval in 2026

Exciting changes are planned in 2026 for the future of footy at our Club, through the City of Fremantle’s Hilton Park Precinct Masterplan.

The first of these is the redevelopment of the Brad Hardie Clubrooms, which will kick off in March next year. This redevelopment will result in improvements to outdated infrastructure, electrical and plumbing upgrades, and better accessibility and safety for users of the facility.

This means we will have to relocate to Bruce Lee Oval in Beaconsfield for the 2026 season . There are a number of benefits in this:

It’s only 1km away from our existing facilities
There is more training space available at Bruce Lee Oval
There is more parking available in and around the oval.

At this stage, we anticipate training and game days will remain the same for season 2026 – they’ll just be at a different oval!

While we appreciate that this does mean some change for the 2026 season, we are excited for all the benefits that the redevelopment will bring, including:

A refurbished, better purposed Brad Hardie clubrooms
A new, second junior oval (where the current basketball courts are located) and shade amenities
Readjustment of the Dick Lawrence Oval to meet finals specifications and allow us to host Youth finals games in the future
Better, more formalised parking areas and spaces along Lefroy Road and to the new junior oval, including a drop-off zone

The City of Fremantle has assured us that this change will only affect the 2026 season, and we’ll be back at a bigger, better Dick Lawrence Oval in season 2027.

The Club’s Executive is working closely with the City of Fremantle to facilitate the relocation and ensure minimal disruption and impact on our players and families for next season. We’ll continue to keep everyone updated throughout the year.

Introducing Superkick in 2026

A Fun New Footy Program for Our Year 2 Players!

We’re excited to announce that in 2026, the Fremantle City Dockers Junior Football Club is launching a brand-new program for our Year 2 footy players called Superkick!

What is Superkick?

Superkick is an exciting, tackle-free, modified version of Australian Rules Football designed for children aged 7–12 — perfect for Year 2 players starting out or looking to develop confidence and skills in a fun, supportive environment.

Why it’s great for kids:

Fun & Inclusive: Every child can participate, no matter their experience level. It’s all about fun, teamwork and making friends.

Skill Development: Sessions focus on developing footy skills like kicking, handballing and game sense through play-based activities.

Tackle-Free Environment: Rather than full tackling, players use a one-hand tag to keep the game safe and welcoming.

Modified Match Play: Children get plenty of involvement — teams are smaller (around 5-9 players), giving everyone lots of touches of the ball and the chance to try different positions.

Simple Weekly Sessions: Superkick runs once a week in one location with games and skills practice bundled into a roughly 60-minute session.

What Parents Should Know:

No Team Needed: Your child can register individually — squads are formed each week so your child always has a team to play with.

Easy Fit with Family Life: With just one session a week at the same location, Superkick is designed to fit easily around school and other commitments.

Get Involved: Parents are welcome to help out as activity helpers, match umpires or goal umpires — a great way to be part of your child’s footy journey!

What to Bring: Comfortable sports clothes, footy boots or runners, a footy and a water bottle — and heaps of enthusiasm! (Exact details will be provided at registration.)

Superkick is a fantastic stepping stone between Auskick and full club footy, helping young players build confidence, learn skills and fall in love with the game we all enjoy. We can’t wait to see our Year 2 Dockers in action in 2026!
